Miko "Meak" Evans is a Full Time Artist-Entrepreneur with 29 Years of experience in Music Entertainment Management, Performing Arts, Creative Design, Marketing & Advertising, New Media Consulting, Small Business & Community Advocacy. He's most known as the Founder of the World's 1st LBGTQ EXCLUSIVE Talent Agency & Production Company, Meak Productions, Inc., now celebrating 21 years of global service to the community and is an LGBTQ Certified Business Enterprise by the NGLCC.
Born & Raised in Atlanta, GA, Miko graduated from the former Northside High School of Performing Arts (now known as North Atlanta High) in June of 1989. Afterwards, he graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Music Entertainment Management in late March of 1991.
Miko was also introduced to community advocacy when he was elected the 1st young Executive Secretary for the Techwood / Clark Howell Residents' Association on and served on the HOPE VI/URD Planning Committee for the redevelopment of Public Housing citywide.
He received his business license on February 10, 1995 for his 1st business venture, MAE & Associates, while still doing community work with Techwood & Atlanta Housing Authority for low-income residents.
He continued his journey till January 2003, when he changed the name of his business to The MAE Corporation USA (MAE Corp) to reflect the growth, evolution and future of his entrepreneurial vision. It was during the Spring of that same year when the conception of Meak Productions was birthed, where he has advertised, casted and branded many indie and newly discovered LGBTQ+ models, actors, speakers, authors and performing artists.
6 years later, Miko grew into a solid and positive force in the LGBTQ community via the Meak Pro brand and his opportunity to launch its media division (Meak Pro Media) thanks to his historic partnership with Atlanta media legend, Dominique Huff in Fall of 2009. Since then, Meak Pro has partnered with and sponsored many LGBTQ events and charitable organizations such as OUT Georgia Business Alliance, Out On Film, MAAP, Atlanta Black Pride, IGLTA, Club Papi Productions, David Atlanta Magazine, and many others to name a few. Miko has received numerous city and county proclamations in honor of his many years of entrepreneurial and community service.
