Alexis Roe
Director of DEI at the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena
Cultural Enthusiast, Humanitarian, Connector, and Strategist. Alexis knew her life post-graduation would be dedicated to advocating for environments where all people, particularly those from marginalized communities or with unconventional skillsets, felt seen, heard, valued, supported, and respected. She began her career as an English Teacher and College Advisor in China, and later ventured into marketing, innovation consulting, and building strategic partnerships to encourage authentic connections. Today, she serves as the Director of DEI at the Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, where she actively champions inclusion initiatives to facilitate building a fair, brave, and safe space within the workforce and in our communities. She supports the planning of sustainable and continual programs to ensure we are showing up consistently and authentically for our communities. She continually empowers people to shift their perspective and encourages courageous conversations to lead to a more understanding world. She currently serves on the Leadership Council for The Posse Foundation, the Governing Board of Pro Sports Assembly, and supports non-profits with the mission of level the playing field and tearing down systemic barriers for our next generation of leaders. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Global & International Affairs from Bard College, an MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a part of LEAD Atlanta’s class of 2023.
